The really cool plugins don't work

I am on PluXml version 5.8.22 (charset UTF-8), and I downloaded and ftp'd plugins for chat, menu, banners and zoombox. None of these work with the version of PluXml I am using. I am not French (sorry) and not a developer. It seems all of these free flat file cms's only have the basics with a bunch of cool plugins that no longer work with a newer version. Also as a non-developer, markdown sucks. Can anyone give some guidance on how to get the cool plugins to work? Thanks and Happy New Year.

    We need more details to help you:

    • PHP version
    • server (apache, nginx, else)
    • upon all which plugins you are complaining about: name and version ?

    Hello Gcyrillus,

    I am using PHP 8.1. I am using Asura Hosting for the site; I think they use nginx. The plugins in question are: plxMiniTchat_1.0.3_09092017, plxZoomBox 1.1, menu45, Owlslider 1.0. Checking the link you sent. Thanks.

    J'anime un site pour une asso et suis dans la même situation.
    Après une mise à jour vers la version 5.8.22 de PluXml les plugins précédemment installés (CKEdidor, ArtGallery) ne fonctionnent plus. Ils occasionnent une erreur type 8192

    Hello,
    You give a try to theses updates :

    For the 2 other plugins i did not dig in them.It relies on old jQuery scripts. You can take a look at others multimedias plugins that might still works. (sorry for that :( )

    Ton erreur ne provient pas de PluXml , mais de ta version de php : 8.X
    message : Creation of dynamic property ckeditor::$racine is deprecated

    As tu tester la derniere version : https://ressources.pluxopolis.net/banque-plugins/plugins/ckeditor.4.11.1-2.zip

    Pluginsoften have an help file within its /lang repertory. fr-help.php or en-help.php and so on if translations are availaible.

    For the minichat the GG translations gives:

    This plugin displays a minitchat on your site.
    Usage:
    Add the following line in your theme (sidebar.php file) where you want to display the chat:

    <?php eval($plxShow->callHook('plxShowMiniTchat')) ?> or <?php eval($plxShow->callHook('plxShowMiniTchat', 'mini')) ?>

    Displaying a Chat Window in a Static Page:

    • Edit the content of a static page and go to the management of static pages: menu "Static pages" in the administration
    • Add the following lines to the place where you want to display the chat.
      <?php eval($this->callHook('plxShowMiniTchat', 'full')); ?>

    CAREFUL! :A single chat box enabled in the theme or static page.

    For the menu plugin, there is an help file in english

    Merci pour ta réponse (07 janv); Je vais tester la version que tu proposes.
    Mais si le problème vient de la version PHP comment corriger ça ?
    Comment puis-je passer en version PHP 8.3.x ? (cherché dans le forum, mais ...)

    La version PHP est upgradable auprès de l'hébergeur du site.
    J'ai fait le nécessaire pour passer en PHP 8.4.x

    J'ai essayé lla version ckeditor 4.11.1-2. C'est bon. Il a fallu que je tâtonne un peu pour rendre le plugin visible.
